Oxford Updates
Feb 27th /2007

Registration Month
Calling all parents of children who will turn five in 2017. It is time to register for Primary. Please come by the main office to register for September 2017. Please pass this message onto anyone with a young child who is getting ready for “big” school.

Being on Time
While we are aware that the winter can make for challenges with travel we still expect that students will arrive at school on time and prepared to learn. Our school day begins with a bell at 8:40am, classes start promptly at 8:45am for all students. In the fall we saw a dramatic improvement in student attendance and student achievement. Being at school on time makes a positive difference and we hope all parents and students will get back on track with arriving at 8:40am each day.

Elementary Parents
A reminder that while the playground is starting to melt there is still lots of snow, students should have boots, snowpants and mittens or gloves for their hands. With warmer temperatures these items often get wet and we recommend having extra clothes for students to change if possible.
A reminder to keep personal toys or other items of value at home for safekeeping.

Traffic
Thank you to all drivers who have been making sincere efforts to slow down around the school, with larger snow banks and slippery drives the slower pace keeps us all safe.

Student Supervision
A reminder that the playground and Junior High entrance are supervised from 8:25am. There is no supervision provided after school.
Lunch Hour supervision is always a challenge and if there are any parents, friends or family members interested in working as lunch monitors we are always recruiting. I want to thank our current team of lunch monitors for all their hard work each day.
